Dear 5th Grade Parents,
On a day between April 15 and April 19, we had the pleasure of spending a few minutes with each Jenison 5th Grader to try out different band instruments. Together with your student, we have selected 1 or 2 instruments that fit your student the best. Now that we have made our recommendations, it is time to officially sign-up for 6th grade band! Students and a parent simply need to come to the junior high band room on April 30 or 6 May 2 to make their final instrument choice and sign-up for band next year. Signing up your student should take approximately 15-20 minutes. We will try out the instruments again so that you can hear your student and help them select their best instrument. We will also need to take down your address, phone number, etc. Additionally, Meyer Music will be available to assist you in renting an instrument for next school year. If you have any questions at all, please refer to the packet that was sent home with students 2 weeks ago or contact one of the band directors.
